New installations typically take place in the spring, early summer, or fall.

Lawn Aerification

Aeration can be an extremely vital element to a healthy lawn because it allows air and water to penetrate built-up grass or lawn thatch.

Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn.

The main reason for aerating is to alleviate soil compaction. Compacted soils have too many solid particles in a certain volume or space, which prevents proper circulation of air, water and nutrients within the soil. Excess lawn thatch or heavy organic debris buried under the grass surface can also starve the roots from these essential elements.

Lawn and Plant Fertilization

For plant and lawn health, we apply/broadcast the necessary nutrients to your plants and lawn.

Lawns require a balanced blend. Your lawn needs a balanced fertilizer with nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium to keep it healthy and strong. Most soils have some of these elements present, but usually they become depleted over the years. It is recommended to add nutrients back into the soil for lawn and plants to keep them healthy.

Mulching Beds

Reasons for applying mulch include conservation of soil moisture, improving fertility and health of the soil, reducing weed growth and enhancing the visual appeal of the area.

Planting

Add color and contrast to your yard all year long with annual color, perennials, hedges and small to medium trees. Planting enhances the look and feel of your home’s exterior.

Top Dressing

Topdressing the lawn is the process of adding a fine layer of ‘quality soil’ to the lawn surface. Top dressing benefits the lawn as it builds up the quality of the soil over a period, sandy soils will be able to retain moisture better and so the lawn will be more resistant to drought, clay soils will drain better thus improving root development. Top dressing also stimulates the grass to produce new roots and so results in denser grass cover which helps combat the onset of weed infestation.

Trimming Hedges/Plants and Trees

Trimming promotes good health, new growth and beauty of the vegetation being trimmed. Hedges and plants are all difference as some may need trimming once a month and others on an as needed basis due to weather conditions or by the seasons. We trim hedges and plants though out the year. Cut off the dead growth (Prune). Cut back rose bushes by half and remove dead wood in Spring and Fall. Trees: We trim low hanging branches off trees and trim ornamental trees like Crape Myrtles, etc.
